120 ECTS, 2 Year Programme
Sustainable Entrepreneurship. Or is it?
This master's programme takes a critical yet holistic approach to the intersection of sustainability and entrepreneurship. It is designed to equip students with the mindset and skills needed to question, challenge, and ultimately transform existing societal and business paradigms.
We believe that the future is co-created. That’s why the programme brings together students from diverse academic backgrounds and uses interdisciplinary teaching methods that combine academic rigour with real-world relevance.
Students will explore the systemic nature of today’s social, environmental, and economic sustainability challenges. They will analyse how entrepreneurship can both contribute to and help solve these complex issues.
Upon graduation, students are prepared to engage professionally in the Finnish and global entrepreneurial ecosystems. They do so as changemakers, innovators, and critical thinkers.
Today’s complex challenges demand expertise, dedication, and heart. The Master’s Programme in Sustainable Entrepreneurship responds to this need by preparing future leaders who are ready to rethink how business is done. These are individuals who care deeply about people and the planet, but who also understand the importance of financial sustainability.
The business world is shifting toward a more holistic view of entrepreneurship, one that focuses on creating real value for society. Professionals who can guide this transition and develop sustainable solutions across corporate, public, and startup sectors are increasingly in demand. This makes sustainable entrepreneurship not only a meaningful path, but also a powerful career opportunity to make a lasting difference.

Social innovation refers to the creation of social value through novel approaches. This course explores how it is practiced by a wide range of actors, including social enterprises, companies, the public sector, and grassroots initiatives. Entrepreneurial Futures
Using a problem-based and iterative learning approach, this course explores how entrepreneurial thinking and tools can be applied to large-scale societal challenges.
